How is this different from LinkedIn recommendations?
LinkedIn recommendations are public, unverified, and candidates can ask anyone to write them — recruiters know this and discount them. Recomndme letters are tamper-proof, timestamped, and have a verification URL. They also include relationship context (manager vs peer) and scarcity signals. And critically, the vouch list with warm contact details has no equivalent on LinkedIn.
Do my references need to create an account?
No. People on your vouch list don't need an account — you add their details and recruiters contact them directly. To write a recommendation letter, a reference receives a link and fills in a form — no signup required.
Can I control what recruiters see?
Yes. You choose which recommendations are visible, who's on your vouch list, and can update everything at any time. The pack is always under your control.
What does "verified" mean on a recommendation letter?
